Born in the town of Novopokrovka, Kharkiv Oblast, Andriy Maslov began his football career in Kharkiv.
Throughout his playing years, he represented several clubs, including Metallurg Donetsk, FC Kharkiv, Hirnyk-Sport (Horishni Plavni), and Olkom Melitopol.

At the professional level, he appeared in 74 matches and scored 2 goals.

In 2015, Andriy joined the "Donbas" Battalion, later serving in the 58th and 72nd Mechanized Brigades, where he was known by the call sign "Footballer". His final assignment was with the 24th Mechanized Brigade.

In 2018, on his birthday, Andriy’s unit came under fire on the outskirts of the village of Pivdenne, near Toretsk (Donetsk Oblast). During the battle, Andriy Maslov and his comrade Vyacheslav Kutsmay were killed.

For his bravery and sacrifice, Andriy was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage".
