Vadym Shushvar worked as a builder in civilian life and had a deep passion for football. During the 2000/01 to 2002/03 seasons, he played for the professional football club “Podillia” in Khmelnytskyi.

After the war began, Vadym took up arms to defend Ukraine, serving in the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade. He was killed on August 16, 2024, while performing a combat mission in the Sumy direction.
