Anatoliy Voloshchuk had a lifelong passion for football. He played for his local youth sports school across various age categories and later joined the senior team of Velykyi Bychkiv, as well as clubs from neighboring towns including Kobyletska Polyana, Verkhne Vodyane, Vodytsia, Bohdan, and others.

After concluding his playing career, Anatoliy continued serving the sport as a highly respected referee. He officiated youth and adult matches in the Rakhiv District Championship, earning a reputation as one of the fairest and most principled referees in the region.

From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, Anatoliy joined the local Territorial Defense. He later carried out combat missions on some of the most dangerous frontlines — including the fierce defense of Bakhmut.

On July 3, 2023, he was killed in action while defending Ukraine in Sumy Oblast, during military operations aimed at repelling Russian aggression. For over a year, Anatoliy was listed as missing in action.

He was laid to rest on August 1, 2024, in his native village — remembered as a brave defender, a principled official, and a man of unwavering commitment.
