Andrii Yaroschuk was born in the village of Matviivka (formerly part of Shumsk district, now within the Velykodederkal community). He studied at Matviivka School and worked as a laborer in construction.

Andrii was both a combatant and a volunteer who went to defend Ukraine from the early days of 2014. In addition to his military service, he was an athlete, musician, hunter, and builder. He played as a goalkeeper for the village football team.

He served as a driver in the 29th Reactive Artillery Division of military unit 0280. On August 12, 2022, Andrii was wounded near Orly in the Synelnykove district of Dnipropetrovsk region during a combat mission. He passed away on August 15, 2022, in a military hospital in Zaporizhzhia.
